Barton hit with FA charge

The Football Association has charged Manchester City midfielder Joey Barton with improper conduct after he dropped his shorts in front of Everton supporters.
The incident came at the end of City's 1-1 draw at Goodison Park last weekend, when Barton reacted to taunts from home fans.
Merseyside Police received a number of complaints about the 24-year-old's behaviour but decided against taking any formal action.
FA officials took a different view and opted to charge Barton with improper conduct and/or bringing the game into disrepute.
He has until 6pm on Friday to respond and a disciplinary commission has already been scheduled for Tuesday October 10.
