Barcelona have not made a fresh approach to Manchester City for Robinho, according to the Spanish club's sporting director.
Txiki Begiristain claims the European champions have not been in touch with City since an summer approach to sign the Brazil star was turned down flat by the Premier League club.
A fresh wave of reports had claimed that Barca were keen to sign the former Real Madrid forward on loan with a view to a permanent transfer at the end of the season.
"Robinho is an interesting player who we asked for last summer," Begiristain told El Mundo Deportivo.
"City refused to talk of transfers and since then we have not made any movement."
The future of the £32million South American continues to be the subject of much speculation with Robinho himself recently hinting that he would be interested in a move to the Camp Nou.
