Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor has warned that it may be some time before he is ready to return to football, following the deadly gun attack on he and his Togo team-mates.
Three people were killed during the assault on the Togo team bus that was heading to the Africa Cup of Nations in Angola.
The team were subsequently withdrawn from the tournament and Adebayor and his colleagues have returned home to recover from the shock of recent events.
Adebayor told the media: "At the moment I can't eat, I am losing weight. It is very difficult for everyone.
"I will take my time and come back on the pitch at the right time. My boss and my team understand that, that is the most important thing.
"They know I need time to recover from this. It is difficult because my personal press officer died in my hands, that is the worst image I have had in my life.
"To go back on the pitch would be the worst thing to do because I am not 100 per cent. At the moment my head is not on football."
