AC Milan hoping to clinch deal for Man City forward Balotelli

AC Milan are leading the chase to sign Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli and hope to secure his signature in the summer.

According to a number of reports in his native Italy, the controversial forward wants a return and is hoping to sign for AC Milan.

The former Inter player has made it clear in the past that he wants to play for rivals AC in the future.

Balotelli is currently serving a four-match ban for a stamp on Scott Parker and could be a replacement for Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Since joining Manchester City back in August 2010, Balotelli has hit the headlines on a number of occasions and has become a cult figure at Eastlands.
