Already strengthening with left back Shaw & central midfielder Herrera, with United letting the experienced Vidic & Ferdinand leave, the club are left with Jones, Smalling & Evans at centre back so the club could do with a another defender to lead for many years in central defence & provide stiffer competition. The Red Devils need cover the potential departure of Patrice Evra, could also use some extra wingers, as Giggs has retired, Young & Nani don’t look cut out to be elite players, Valencia is solid & Zaha does the potential but the club are wanting immediate results. We take a look out who are the stand out candidates from the Dutch squad.

Stefan De Vrij - Just 22, a regular at Feyenoord & at national level for two years, he looked very solid during the World Cup, loves a tackle & his concentration levels are very high, rarely makes a mistake, would fit the club perfectly.

Bruno Martins Indi - Born in Portugal & moved to Holland as a baby with his parents, again just 22, the strong defender can play central defence & fill in at full back, very versatile, another of Feyenoord’s youth prodigy.

Daley Blind - The 24 year old is a member of Ajax’s famous academy, Blind plays defensive midfield for his club, however played as a left wing back in Brazil, he learned a lot through his father, Danny, who is a member of the national coaching set up, he could fill in for Shaw if needed to.

Arjen Robben - Now 30, however the world knows about the winger & still offers a lot, with blistering pace, fantastic technique & touch, now added goals to his game, Robben is a world star, one of the best players at the World Cup, plays either on the right wing or can fill in upfront as he has shown for Holland with the Red Devils striker Van Persie, the club would love Robben, whether they could afford him or if the player wishes to leave giant of a club in Bayern Munich is another matter.

Memphis Depay - Nominated for young player of the tournament at the World Cup, another young star, just 20, Depay plays with swagger, he has blistering pace, fantastic at dribbling, plays on the left wing for PSV & cuts in on his fight foot & he isn't afraid of shooting, he scored in two games coming off the bench in Brazil & he's a name we will hearing a lot more in the near future.
