Inter Milan are ready to reward Wesley Sneijder for turning down Manchester United by offering the Holland star a near double-your-money deal.

The Italians want to show United there is no point coming back in for Sneijder by reportedly increasing his wages from £65,000 to £110,000 a week.

Snub: Wesley Sneijder was the key man in Inter's treble-winning campaign last year

Inter president Massimo Moratti insisted United had shown interest in a £29million move for the playmaker this summer, though Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson rejected the claims once Sneijder had made it clear his heart was in Milan.

The 26-year-old, who only joined Inter from Real Madrid before last season, indicated during the World Cup that he wanted a new contract at the San Siro after a stellar campaign that saw Inter win the Italian League, Cup and Champions League.
