Welbeck facing bench duty

Danny Welbeck may find himself on the Man United bench when Norwich visit Old Trafford - despite scoring two goals in midweek.[LNB] The 20-year-old is hoping he has done enough to get the nod from Sir Alex Ferguson but Javier Hernandez is certain to be back in contention, while Wayne Rooney may also have recovered from a hamstring injury.[LNB]Welbeck said: "I hope I have done enough to play against Norwich. We have some great strikers at the club and whoever is in there will give it 100%. I just hope I get my chances."[LNB]Ferguson has more immediate concerns over his defence, who appeared shaky against Stoke on Sunday and who, by the United manager's own admission, were guilty of being "careless" in the 3-3 draw against Basle in midweek.[LNB]Ferguson could do with central defenders Jonny Evans, Chris Smalling and Nemanja Vidic all returning from injury to give him some more options.[LNB]The United manager said: "There is still enough quality in the back positions - Evra and Ferdinand are very experienced. But you always like to have a back four playing consistently and we don't have that at the moment."[LNB]Meanwhile, Park Ji-sung has insisted he will feel the benefit this season of his retirement, at the age of 30, from the South Korea national team.[LNB]He told the club's official website: "I don't need to travel too far away now during the season. When there is an international break, I can stay and train in Manchester, this makes me fresher for the next game.[LNB]"It's a long season and the international matches meant I had to travel long distances. Now I can save my health physically. I think it's quite a big thing for me at my age."
