It has taken Rooney just 247 appearances to reach that milestone and, after their 3-1 win at the Emirates, he now believes that Manchester United are finding their stride at the optimum moment of the season.[LNB]'We are getting better each game and I hope that it continues,' he said. 'We counter-attacked brilliantly and fully deserved the points. We are playing really well, we knew that nothing but a win was good enough with Chelsea playing Tuesday. We let Arsenal have a bit of possession and then we counter-attacked, when we had the chance and we were deadly. I think it was the best performance of the season.'[LNB]Wayne Rooney is Harry Potter fanOf reaching 100 Premier League goals, he added: "It's obviously something I'm very proud of, it's a great feeling to play in the Premier League and score 100 goals. Hopefully there's many more to come. I'm really pleased at the minute.' [LNB]Another player with good reason to take particular personal satisfaction from the game was Nani, whose performance was described by Sir Alex Ferguson as his finest in a Manchester United shirt. 'Absolutely,' said Ferguson. 'The boy has come back. He had an injury but has come back freshened up. His last three games have been first-class. That was his best.[LNB]'He's 23 now. He's a very shy boy. There's no question about that. Maybe his personality's getting stronger and better to deal with playing for us every week.'[LNB]Ferguson said that his team now needed to 'kick on' if they were to catch Chelsea. 'It was a great performance by us, no doubt,' he said. 'I think Wednesday's result and performance has really galvanised us again. You saw today the players are really ready for the game, they were sharp and good with their passing, and you could see we created a lot of chances too.[LNB]'Counter-attacking has always been part of our game, particularly away from home, and we capitalised on those opportunities today. Arsenal play a lot of good football and get to the edge of your box regularly, but if you can win the ball there and counter-attack quickly from there, you'll have chances against them.'[LNB]Nani added: 'We had a very good game last Wednesday and everyone got their confidence for this game. The manager just said we had to have the same attitude for this game if we want to be champions.[LNB]'I think that was my best game for United. I played well, scored one and one assist. It was a fantastic performance and I'm happy to help my team. I'm working hard every day to be fit to play in the team, to be strong in the team and play very well.'[LNB]
