Wayne Rooney Euro 2012 ban appeal hearing brought forward to December 8

The FA's appeal against Wayne Rooney's three-match Euro 2012 suspension has been brought forward to December 8.[LNB]The hearing was due to be the following day, but with Manchester United playing in Basle on December 7, Rooney should be able to travel to the hearing in Switzerland the following day.[LNB]England are desperate to have their star man available for at least the final group match in Poland and Ukraine next summer.[LNB] Lashing out: Wayne Rooney was sent off for kicking Miodrag Dzudovoic[LNB]Rooney was red-carded for violent conduct in England's last qualifier against Montenegro.[LNB]UEFA said in a statement: 'The date of the UEFA Appeals Body hearing in the case of England striker Wayne Rooney has been brought forward to Thursday 8 December from Friday 9 December.[LNB]'This follows a request by the English Football Association (FA), as Rooney will be in Switzerland with his club Manchester United FC to play FC Basel 1893 in a UEFA Champions League Group C match on Wednesday 7 December.'[LNB] Off you go: Rooney is sent off by ref Wolfgang Stark[LNB]Rooney recently admitted he has only himself to blame, saying: 'Obviously, it's devastating for me but it's something that's my own fault, so I can't really complain.[LNB]'Itwas stupid by me - I regretted it as soon as I did it. Russia won 1-0 to reach Euro 2008 ahead of England.[LNB]UEFA imposed a two-match ban on Arshavin, which carried over to the final tournament in Austria and Switzerland.
