Gary Speed reckons Wales should groom Ryan Giggs for a crack at succeeding him as national boss.

New Wales boss Speed, 41, said: 'I spoke to Ryan and he doesn't know what his future plans are yet.

'I'm not sure he'll be coming back to play but if we can get Ryan on board and involved with the infrastructure in anyway it would be great.

'If I move on or go elsewhere then somewhere along the line, then if Ryan is already involved, he might be the perfect one. We need good up-and-coming Welsh managers to go and take the reins.'
