Aleksandar Kolarov has tipped Manchester City team-mate Vincent Kompany to be as good as Nemanja Vidic one day.[LNB]Kompany has been one of the Blues outstanding performers this season.[LNB]It was a slight surprise the Belgian was not included in the short-list for PFA player of the year and he undoubtedly will be one of the men Manchester United must find a way past if they are to emerge victorious in tomorrow's FA Cup semi-final derby encounter at Wembley.[LNB] Aiming high: Kolarov believes Kompany (left) can be as good as Vidic (right)[LNB]After observing Kompany's consistency at close quarters during his debut season with the Eastlands outfit, Kolarov can pay the 25-year-old no greater honour than to compare him with Serbia teammate Vidic, a man he has been close friends with for so long, and someone who will be barring City's path to glory.[LNB]'You have to remember that Vinnie is younger than Vidic,' he said.[LNB]'He has done really well for us this season.[LNB]'I'm lucky to be able to play alongside him and if he continues the way he is going he can be as good as Vidic.' [LNB]It is no small praise for Kompany given he believes Vidic, who did make the PFA's seven-man shortlist, is currently the best defender in the Premier League.[LNB] Close attention: Kolarov (right) will face Serbia teammate Vidic on Saturday[LNB]'I know Nemanja very well,' said Kolarov.[LNB]'We play together in the national team but I have known him since he played for Red Star Belgrade.[LNB]'He's a great player, and I'm not just saying that because he's my friend.[LNB]'I know he is the United captain but I really do think he's the best defender in England. And if you are the best in the English league you are the best in Europe in my opinion.'[LNB]Not that there will be any respect on show when referee Mike Dean blows his whistle to start such an eagerly-anticipated clash.[LNB]'We'll say hello but that will be it,' said Kolarov.[LNB]  City are hardly our biggest rivals, snipes Scholes ahead of FA Cup clashNo way, Jose!
