Vidic wants to stay at United as he insists there is no bust-up with Fergie

Nemanja Vidic insists he is happy at Manchester United and has not fallen out with Sir Alex Ferguson.[LNB]The Old Trafford boss is concerned about how long the defender has taken to shake off a calf injury, but Vidic says he is determined to return to the side as quickly as possible.[LNB]Real Madrid are lining up a £20million summer move for the 28-year-old and United would consider selling if the defender is unwilling to sign a contract beyond 2012.[LNB] United rock: Vidic celebrates scoring against Wolves in December[LNB]'I have never had a conflict of any kind with Sir Alex Ferguson and rife speculation that I want to leave United is completely untrue,' Vidic told Belgrade newspaper Vecernje Novosti.[LNB]The way they were: Ferguson welcomes Vidic as his new signing four years ago[LNB]'I have a contract until the summer of 2012 and I have every intention of seeing it through to the very last day.[LNB]'United have made me the player I am today and there is no substance whatsoever in rumours that I have been looking for a move away to either Real Madrid or AC Milan.'[LNB]Nevertheless, Ferguson appeared angered when Vidic withdrew from the side that were beaten 1-0 by Leeds in the FA Cup. When asked to explain the absence, the boss said: 'You'll have to ask him.'[LNB]And Ferguson this week suggested he was growing tired with how long the former Spartak Moscow defender had been out of action, saying: 'He has been training for the past ten days but doesn't feel he's ready to be part of the games. [LNB]'That's something we have to be patient with, which we are doing at the moment.'
