Vidic - Giggs an example
emanja Vidic believes Manchester United team-mate Ryan Giggs is the perfect role model for young players.[LNB] The Welshman has enjoyed a successful career at Old Trafford and was this week handed a contract extension to take him into a 19th season with the club.[LNB]Vidic has played alongside Giggs for just three years but the Serbian recognises that he is a shining example for others to follow.[LNB]"Young players need to look at Ryan," said Vidic.[LNB]"He is a complete professional and any young player can learn from him about how to develop themselves and how to have a big career and a long career.[LNB]"He has done very well this season and I am glad he has signed a new contract and will be part of this squad for another 18 months."[LNB]35-year-old Giggs remains a key performer for United but Vidic has also been impressed by his strength of character.[LNB]He said: "He has been at this level for 18 years. To do that at Manchester United is not easy.[LNB]"In order to keep winning trophies for that long you don't just need football ability, you must be mentally tough as well."[LNB]
