Varane Decision Soon
Manchester United will find out very soon whether the bid they have placed for Lens starlet Raphael Varane has paid dividends. United have been tracking the Lens stopper for a number of month and they have made the first moves to acquire his services. United put in a bid of around 10 million euros, the 18 year old who has said that he would like to stay in France, United are willing to let the player go back to the club on loan. Lens president Gervais Martel says that all interested parties would know the decision soon. "Given the clubs involved, it would be very hard to stop him [from moving]," Martel told La Voix du Nord. "I hope this will be finalised in the next 48 hours - I have just spent four hours on the phone, and there are many things to settle."
