With the arrival after the summer at Old Trafford of Holland Coach, Louis Van Gaal, the news is that he is coveting two titles over the coming months; the World Cup and the British Premier League next year.
Speaking on Dutch television, he said that he would be "proud if it works right away" at United.
The 62 year old is said to be keen to return United to the top of the Premier League, whilst securing the world crown for his nation’s team.
Van Gall, who won League and European titles with Barcelona and Bayern, is certainly the man to be able to do just that; he has the experience and the tenacity to do what David Moyes could not do.
But fans across the world are asking themselves one question: Is this a calculated gamble or a poisoned chalice he has been given? Only time will tell.
