Edwin van der Sar believes Manchester United's experience in finals will aid their cause against Barcelona in Rome on Wednesday. The Red Devils are out to defend their crown as European champions when they tackle Pep Guardiola's side in the UEFA Champions League final. United emerged victorious on penalties in last year's final against Chelsea and have swelled their experience by claiming the Club World Cup against Liga de Quito in December last year. The 38-year-old former Fulham keeper believes United's youngsters have benefited from final experience and that they are well-placed to defend their crown against Barca. Experience "If you play a big final you get the experience," he told Sky Sports News. "We won it last year. We went to Japan also. "We played two hard games in the World Club finals and won it. It's nice for the younger members of the team that know what it's like to win a final. "That's what you need - experience in those types of games."
