Carrington is currently undergoing its first major redevelopment since the first team moved there 12 years ago and rapid advancements in sports science and medicine mean existing facilities could not cope with the demands for staff and equipment.
"Our players are at the centre of Manchester United and it is vital that we are able to offer them the best possible medical support," said United's commercial director Richard Arnold. Toshiba Medical Systems Europe chief executive Chikao Kamijima said: "This will ensure that the players and staff at Manchester United are given the best support possible and should also help to promote Manchester United as a leading innovator in football and player wellbeing."
