England boss Fabio Capello has revealed Rio Ferdinand has returned to Manchester United as a serious injury concern after the defender was forced to limp off injured during England's win over Ukraine last night. Although the Italian did not confirm the nature of Ferdinand's injury it is thought the 30-year-old aggravated a troublesome groin problem which could rule him out of United's all-important Premier League clash with Aston Villa this weekend. Ferdinand, who missed England's 4-0 friendly victory over Slovakia last Saturday due to the injury, will now be assessed by medics at Old Trafford after being replaced by Everton's Phil Jagielka on 88 minutes at Wembley. 'He was in a bit of pain and I will have to speak to the doctor,' confirmed Capello.
