United ready to swap one Colombian for another with Sevilla goal machine Bacca a transfer target

Manchester United are looking at the possibility of signing Sevilla's prolific striker Carlos Bacca with compatriot Radamel Falcao's loan spell at Old Trafford looking set to end with no permanent deal.

The Red Devils will be in need of extra fire-power up front next season with Falcao set to return to Monaco and Robin van Persie's future at the club looking anything but certain.

United have been linked with numerous strikers throughout the season, including Paris Saint-Germain front man Edinson Cavani, but reports from Spain are suggesting that United will look instead to Bacca, who could arrive at Old Trafford for a relatively small fee.

The 28-year-old has scored an impressive 21 goals for Spanish side Sevilla in all competitions this season, equalling his total for the 2013/14 campaign. A quick look at the strikers history shows that the Colombian has scored 15 plus goals in all but one of the last 6 seasons.

The striker has previously been linked with United's top four rivals Liverpool and Arsenal but the Manchester club look favourites if any deal was to go ahead.
