IT'S 92 days since the bitter disappointment of United's Champions League final flop in Rome against Barcelona but the Road to Madrid begins for the Reds today.
In Monaco UEFA have gathered for the draw at tea time for the start of the Champions League proper with the unveiling of the group matches.
The Reds are currently fourth favourites to lift the trophy in the Bernabeu on May 22 when the final will take place for the first time on a Saturday.
Chelsea are ahead of the Reds in the betting with holders Barca and big spending Real Madrid, who'll have home advantage in the final, the joint favourites.
After the setback of the 2-0 defeat in Italy by Pep Guardiola's Barcelona Dimitar Berbatov is itching for the Euro campaign to begin again.
The first matches start on September 15 and 16.
"After what happened in last year's final I think we're even more determined in Europe this time around," said the Bulgarian striker
"For me, losing in Rome was doubly frustrating because I wasn't at the club when the team won in Moscow I've never won the Champions League so losing to Barcelona was very upsetting.
"This year our aim is to make it all the way to Madrid. The Bernabeu is one of the best stadiums in the world and I know we're good enough to make it back there and, this time, win it.
"There are many clubs with very, very good players. But remember when you say the name Manchester United it inspires respect in people. Nobody will fancy playing us."
