United keeper lands Hannover trial

Manchester United reserve goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler could be set to return to his native Germany after joining Hannover on trial.[LNB] The youth international has returned to his homeland to undergo a trial with Bundesliga outfit Hannover.[LNB]The 21-year-old is out of contract in the summer and is eager to secure a deal elsewhere.[LNB]"I came to Hannover hoping I can manage to stay at the club," he told Bild.[LNB]"They offered me the chance to have a trial and I am thankful for this as it isn't easy for people to watch me playing for the Manchester United reserves.[LNB]"I am happy being at Hannover. If everything goes fine I might have the opportunity to stay on."[LNB]Zieler was with hometown club Cologne when he was lured to United's youth Academy in 2005 before being given professional terms at Old Trafford in the summer of 2008.[LNB]He played two games on loan at Northampton during the 2008/09 campaign and has most recently had a trial at Belgium top-flight outfit Westerlo.[LNB]Zieler was Germany's first-choice keeper at the Under-20 World Cup in Egypt last year.
