The 19 year old has got off to a great start this season and scored four goals in six games although his side sit 11th in the Serie A, winning just two games so far.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has had scouts looking and the reports he has got back are very favourable.
They could be preparing to make a move during the January transfer window.
