United enjoy Turkey trot

UNITED flew into the Turkish capital on Sunday night on the second leg of their big-match triple-decker in buoyant mood. The Reds' crunch three-game spell began with a stunning 3-1 win at White Hart Lane before jetting off to Turkey. On Tuesday they open the Champions League campaign in Group B against Turkish champions Besiktas in their BJK Inonu Stadium. Ryan Giggs wants a win in Europe to add to the London success to ready the champions for Sunday's showdown with City. "What you want to do is go into these games with confidence," said the 35-year-old. "We will go into tomorrow confident and hopefully get a good win. It's always tough here because of the fans and the travelling. "Hopefully we'll go into the derby with a win under our belt. It's always a tough test. It was a long flight and you don't really know a lot about their side. "But we'll do our homework now we are here and I'm sure the manager will chop and change and fresh players will come in. Hopefully we'll do the job in Turkey. "It's well-documented that we've lost Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez but we have great players here and it gives you confidence when you go to a place like Spurs on Saturday and get a result." Will United beat Besiktas? Have your say.
