United appoint Scholes to scout Rhodes

Manchester United sent newly appointed scout Paul Scholes to take a look at highly rated Huddersfield forward Jordan Rhodes on Wednesday night.

Huddersfield drew 2-2 with Scunthorpe United and Rhodes once again found the net, his ninth in the last four matches. While a hat-trick for Scotland's Under-21's in between has made it 12 in five games.

According to The Metro the club are admirers of his goal scoring ability and could be ready to make a £5million bid for him.

A whole host of Premier League scouts have been taking a look at the 21 year old. With Sir Alex Ferguson putting his faith in Scholes to make a judgement, United could make a bid for the player as soon as the transfer window re opens in January.
