Manchester United and Liverpool have a chance of being hit by charges from the FA following Saturday's ill-tempered game.

According to The Sun, the FA are waiting to receive a report from referee Phil Dowd to see if he mentions anything about the reported bust up at half time and after the game when there was a lot of pulling and pushing going on in the tunnel.

It may even go as far as having to talk to the police who were involved in the incidents.

Allegedly, at half-time Patrice Evra tried to confront Luis Suarez outside the changing rooms before police, stewards and players stepped in.

At full-time Liverpool players tried to get to Evra because of his over-zealous celebration on the pitch after the full time whistle had blown.

Most of the trouble started before the game had kicked off when Suarez refused to shake Evra's hand.
