Arguably the best partnership the Premier League has seen, Andy Cole was signed from Newcastle by Ferguson in the January transfer window of 1995 for a fee of £6 million plus Keith Gillespie. Cole was in incredible form for Newcastle, scoring 68 goals in 84 appearances. His form carried on after Signing for United and scored 12 goals in 18 league games in the second half of that season. Yorke joined United from Villa for almost £13 million, in his first season he finished joint top scorer with 18 goals. In all competitions that season the pair scored a whopping 53 goals and helped United on to a historic treble of Champions League, FA Cup and Premier League success.
