UEFA risks Fergie's wrath by naming Busacca as Champions League ref

UEFA have risked the wrath of Sir Alex Ferguson by naming Massimo Busacca as the Champions League final referee. The Swiss official will take charge of Wednesday's final between Manchester United and Barcelona in Rome. Busacca officiated last season's semi-final first leg between the sides and was criticised by Ferguson for not awarding a second penalty after Cristiano Ronaldo missed an earlier one. The United boss was raging after Ronaldo appeared to be upended inside the area in the first half during the goalless draw at the Nou Camp. 'I thought it was a penalty,' said Fergie after the game. 'The world and his wife would think that. It's hard enough to ask for one penalty. You're doing well if you get one. To ask for twowell, I wasn't surprised that we didn't get it.'
