Trio yet to make Benzema bids

Lyon maintain they have not received any official offer for star player Karim Benzema from Real Madrid, Manchester United or Arsenal. The striker is expected to leave France this summer in a big-money move, despite agent Karim Djaziri claiming the player wants to remain in his homeland to focus on the 2010 World Cup. Rumour continues to link Real - who made enquires last week - and United with a bid in the region of £27million, while Arsenal are also thought to be tracking the 21-year-old amidst speculation Emmanuel Adebayor is to join AC Milan. But Lyon director of communications, Olivier Blanc, is adamant there has been no bid for the forward and claims it would take far more than £30m to force any sale. He said in L'Equipe: "We have not received any official offer for Karim, either from Madrid, Manchester or Arsenal. "We had first contact with Real in the middle of last week. "Anyway €32m (£27m) is not very realistic. If Madrid really made an offer, it would have been superior."
