Despite still being unbeaten in the Premier League this season, Manchester United have failed to deliver the stylish football their fans have become accustomed to over the years.

It therefore comes as no surprise that Sir Alex Ferguson is looking to freshen up his squad, with a move for Borussia Dortmund's highly-rated playmaker Shinji Kagawa reportedly on the cards.

The 21-year-old Japanese star is valed at around £20 million by the German club and would be keen to test himself in England's top-flight.

In one of the longest running transfer rumours of recent years, it appears as though Arsenal could finally be closing in on a deal for Bolton's Gary Cahill.

Arsene Wenger is in desperate need of a quality central defender, and with David Wheater signing for the Trotters yesterday, Owen Coyle could be set to cash in on his biggest asset.

It is believed the transfer fee could range anywhere from £15-20m.

Manchester City are contemplating a £17m move for Ajax full-back Gregory van der Wiel.

Fulham could sign Chelsea youngster Gael Kakuta on loan for the rest of the season.

Sunderland are interested in Wigan winger Charles N'Zogbia.

Zenit St Petersburg are interested in re-signing out-of-form Arsenal winger Andrey Arshavin.
