A 25 yard strike by the Brazilian looked to have settle the tie for Real, a great goal from the Brazilian legend. He was taken off shortly after by Del Bosque with the tie seemingly over.
David Beckham entered the scene after, with the game at 3-2. A trademark free kick saw the game go to 3-3, before he bundled in an effort late on that saw United win the game 4-3. They were able to claim victory on the night, but progression to the later rounds was destroyed courtesy of the Brazilian legend, Ronaldo.
