Tony Pulis backs Sir Alex Ferguson over Wembley semi-final

Stoke manager Tony Pulis is saddened that FA Cup semi-finals are no longer held in venues around the country. [LNB]However he believes their supporters would rather play at Wembley rather than anywhere else - and those opinions must count.[LNB] Frustrated: Ferguson says the semi-final weekend could descend into chaos [LNB] Stoke face Bolton at the national stadium on April 17, a day after Manchester United and Manchester City lock horns at the venue. [LNB]United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has complained that having four teams heading in the same direction is a recipe for 'absolute chaos' especially as on the Sunday the London Marathon is being held and Arsenal host Liverpool. [LNB]Making his point: Pulis is a traditionalist [LNB]Pulis said: 'I am a traditionalist and was brought up watching semi-finals at Villa Park, Old Trafford, Hillsborough and places like that. I really enjoyed it as there were some unbelievable games.[LNB]'I can understand where Alex is coming from but if you ask any of our supporters whether they would prefer to go to Villa Park or Wembley for a semi-final... that's who we are dealing with, the public. [LNB]'I am privileged to be working for a club that has got to a semi-final. The supporters aren't and we have to take notice of them. [LNB]'The chance to go to Wembley for our supporters is immense.
