Three English teams make top seed in UEFA Champions League Draw

After the final matches of the qualifying series of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA has decided seedings for the draw of the group stage for this year’s competition, which is to be held in Monaco Thursday evening.

Four pots comprising of the 32 teams that made the group stage was made with teams placed in pots according to their performances in UEFA competitions in the last five years.

Last year’s runners up, Borrusia Dortmund found themselves in pot 3 just like last year while Scottish Champions, Celtic who claimed an astonishing victory against Barcelona last year are in pot 4.

Surprisingly in pot 4 are Italian side, Napoli, while Arsenal find themselves in pot 1.

With the draws later today, UEFA have made restrictions barring teams from the same football associations to be drawn in the same group.
