The End For Hargreaves?

It could be that United midfielder Owen Hargreaves could have played his last game for the Reds after manager Sir Alex Ferguson revealed he almost certainly will not be fit before the end of the season. The England international arrived at United on 2007 from Bayern Munich but after helping United win the Champions League and the Premiership title in his first season, he has suffered with injuries since, the main one being a major tendinitis problem in both knees which eventually required surgery. Hargreaves was back in action last season when United played Wolves, but he only lasted a very short time before he had to go off with a hamstring injury. Now, at the age of 30, the player has come a cropper with a shoulder injury and Ferguson fears that this could finish him off. Hargreaves' contract is over in the summer and it would be a very silly move to give him another deal. Ferguson said: "It is a shoulder injury. It has just brought his season to an end. "He has just carried bad luck all the time he has been here. I am pretty sure he won't be playing this season. "His contract is up at the end of the season but I don't know what is going to happen. "(United chief executive) David Gill had a discussion with the boy last week. But no more than that. We have to make a decision."
