Tevez focused on final

Carlos Tevez is hoping to put any talk of his future to one side until after the UEFA Champions League final. The Argentine striker, who is set to see his two-year loan deal at Manchester United expire at the end of the campaign, insists his sole focus for now is on helping the Red Devils retain their European crown. Sir Alex Ferguson's side meet Barcelona in Rome on Wednesday to determine who can lay claim to being the best side on the continent. Much of the build-up to the game has been overshadowed by talk of Tevez, with reports suggesting the South American star will be heading for pastures new this summer. United have always maintained that they would like to keep the 25-year-old at Old Trafford, but the issue looks set to drag on for some time yet as the player's representatives stall on reaching an agreement. "I want to win the European Cup for the club and the fans," Tevez told Zoo Magazine. "After that we will talk about the future. "I really like it here and want to be part of the success but right now I don't want anything to distract me from my football." Tevez is hoping United will be able to keep his fleet-footed compatriot Lionel Messi quiet in midweek, but feels that in Cristiano Ronaldo the Red Devils boast a talent equally as exciting as the Barca talisman. "Everybody considers them to be the best football players in the world," he added. "Some people will say Messi is the best and some people will say Ronaldo is the best. For me, they are both as special as each other. "To have them both on the same pitch should be great entertainment for the fans."
