Tevez desperate for United deal
Carlos Tevez admits he has his heart set on staying at Manchester United.[LNB] The Argentina international has been on loan at Old Trafford since the start of last season but that deal expires in the summer.[LNB]United are yet to take up the option of a £30million transfer fee to secure the striker's services outright and Real Madrid are believed to be monitoring the situation, while a host of other top continental clubs would be ready to step in.[LNB]The 24-year-old has seen his first-team opportunities limited by the signing of Dimitar Berbatov last August but is eager to stay with the Premier League and Champions League holders having become a fans' favourite on the Stretford End.[LNB]"My loan deal ends in June but I cannot think of any team except United," Tevez told Sport magazine.[LNB]Love"The United fans love me and my family is very happy, both in Manchester and in England.[LNB]"My thoughts are only about winning titles with United, and if this happens then I hope I will still be here next season.[LNB]"I do not want to play with any other team. I always follow my heart, and my heart is telling me it will be impossible for me to leave English football."[LNB]While Tevez has only managed three goals in 14 Premier League starts this season, he claimed 14 in 31 last term as United became English and European champions.[LNB]Tevez is relishing playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, who beat Lionel Messi to be crowned the 2008 Ballon D'Or winner, and he would welcome the opportunity to continue playing alongside the Portuguese star.[LNB]Out of this world"Sometimes his performances are almost from a different planet," said Tevez.[LNB]"He is a truly special talent and the only other player who I think is on the same level as him today is my Argentinian team-mate Lionel Messi.[LNB]"He is at Barcelona now, but I think they could play very well together - they are the only men in football who can win a game on their own.[LNB]"They are complete because they are both superb dribblers who also have a very good eye for goal. I would love to have them both with me in the same team."[LNB]With Wayne Rooney suspended, Tevez is expected to start against Aston Villa on Sunday.[LNB]And despite being forced to play second fiddle to Rooney and Berbatov for most of the season, Tevez insists he has the utmost respect for United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.[LNB]Gentleman"He is always the boss," he said. "There is never any doubt who is in charge, but he is also a gentleman.[LNB]"From the moment I arrived, he has treated me with respect as a person.[LNB]"His greatest quality is that, for him, there are no star players - everyone is equal, whether they cost many millions or are a young player who hasn't played many times for the team.[LNB]"When I see him work he reminds me of Carlos Bianchi, who was my coach at Boca Juniors in Argentina.[LNB]"Both have had a big influence on my career, and both know how to treat people."[LNB]
