New Sunderland manager Steve Bruce is poised to try and steal Fraizer Campbell from under the noses of Hull City. Manchester United have already accepted Hull's £6m bid for the striker, who scored 15 goals for the Tigers while on loan during their promotion season. Campbell, on England duty in Sweden for the European Under-21 Championships, insisted yesterday that he did not want to make a decision on his future until the tournament was over. Bruce tried to lure the 21-year-old to Wigan on loan last summer but lost out to Tottenham. The move to Spurs soon soured for Campbell after Harry Redknapp'sarrival but Bruce has not lost faith and will ask his board to matchthe £6m on the table from Hull.
