Follow Sportsmail's coverage of the Barclays Premier League as Stoke host Manchester United at the Britannia Stadium to wrap up Saturday's action. The Potters will be looking to bounce back from a woeful display in their 4-0 loss at Sunderland last week by ending their opponent's 100 per cent start. Send me your thoughts on the game at dan.ripley@dailymail.co.uk or via twitter @Ripinho.[LNB] Stoke 1-1 Manchester United (5.30pm) Stoke: Begovic, Wilkinson (Huth 83), Shawcross,Woodgate, Wilson, Pennant (Jerome 90+2), Delap (Whitehead 85), Whelan, Etherington, Walters, Crouch.Subs: Sorensen, Upson, Shotton, Palacios.[LNB]Goals: Crouch 52.[LNB]Man Utd: De Gea, Jones, Ferdinand, Valencia, Evra, Nani, Anderson, Fletcher, Young (Giggs 70), Berbatov (Welbeck 70), Hernandez (Owen 11).Subs:Lindegaard, Park, Fabio Da Silva, Macheda.[LNB]Goals: Nani 27.[LNB]Referee: Peter Walton (Northamptonshire)[LNB]19.30: Another Sportsmail exclusive then as we gave you the result of this game as early as 17.28![LNB]In all seriousness though, United go top on goal difference ahead of their rivals Manchester City while Stoke sit seventh.[LNB]That's all from me here but check back tomorrow for live coverage of QPR v Aston Villa. Yes it will be worth it. Cheerio.[LNB]19.27: Believe it or not that is Stoke's first ever Premier League point against United and it ends the Red Devils 100 per cent start to the season.[LNB]They fully deserved it too.[LNB]Full-time: Stoke 1-1 Manchester United[LNB]90+2min: Final change for Stoke as Jerome replaces Pennant.[LNB]90+1min: A shocking miss from Giggs who at the back post is favourite to bury a cross but proceeds to get his volley horribly wrong and well wide. Not quite in the league of Torres but Fergie's face says it all.[LNB] Barking orders: United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and Stoke manager Tony Pulis shout orders to their teams[LNB]90min: There will be four added minutes as Cameron Jerome prepares to come on.[LNB]88min: Crouch takes advantage of some inexperience to out-muscle Valencia at the back post but his follow up volley is pretty clumsy as he fires well wide.[LNB]85min: And now Dean Whitehead is on for Delap.[LNB]84min: The corner comes to nothing though as Crouch heads wide at the back post. The boy really is hit and miss.[LNB]83min: A corner for Stoke who make their first change with Robert Huth on for Wilkinson.[LNB]The German centre-back will storm straight into the United box for a corner.[LNB]80min: Pressure being applied by United as darkness descends. They have seen plenty of the ball in the last 10 minutes but Stoke are coping very well.[LNB]77min: And a good effort from Owen who heads Giggs' cross over.[LNB]74min: A spark to United now as Nani fires just over the bar. Stoke still have all three subs though.[LNB]71min: In fact offside is the verdict despite the ball not even falling for the correctly flagged Owen. What happened to players having to touch the ball?[LNB]The offside rule evolves again.[LNB] Dejection: Berbatov shows his frustration during the second half[LNB]70min: Stoke are VERY fortunate not to concede a penalty again. Young's strike is well punched clear but the follow up shot from Evra strikes Shawcross's arm in the box for a clear hand ball.[LNB]A double change for United with Ryan Giggs and Welbeck on for Young and the disappointing Berbatov.[LNB]68min: Marc Wilson hits it with plenty of power (and more) but no direction as De Gea punches away with both hands - if he didn't get his hands in the way it might have decapitated him.[LNB]67min: And now a free-kick 23 yards out after Valencia is penalised for a high foot.[LNB]That came shortly after Berbatov tumbled down a little bit too dramatically in the box at the other end.[LNB]65min: Vintage United this is not. Stoke are swarming all over them and Danny Welbeck is warming up.[LNB]62min: No response from United. If anything Stoke look more likely to get a second. This is a big test for the visitors.[LNB]59min: Blimey the Stoke fans are giving this full voice. Shortly after 'Delilah' tune is blared out we now have 'Swing Low Sweet Chariot' bouncing around the ground.[LNB]55min: And he nearly gets a second! Ferdinand completely misjudges a header and at the back post but De Gea makes himself big to block his shot over the bar. Crouch must do better to be fair.[LNB]53min: And on that note the England international is the sixth Premier League player to score for six different clubs.[LNB] Crouching tiger: Crouch (centre) equalises for Stoke[LNB]52min: GOAL! STOKE 1-1 Manchester United[LNB]Some questions over De Gea's reluctance to claim this but what a header from Peter Crouch! Etherington's corner is an inswinger, and from six yards out he gets in-between Rio Ferdinand and Jones to nod past the Spaniard.[LNB]50min: A half-chance for United with Young's low ball in the box just evading Owen. Not the greatest day so far for the former Villa winger.[LNB]47min: News on Hernandez is he has suffered a dead leg. Rest, ice, compression, elevate I guess is the recommendation there.[LNB]46min: A first chance form a set piece for Stoke but Matthew Etherington, curls a cross to the back post where isn't a soul about.[LNB] In pursuit: Pennant (right) and Anderson chase the ball[LNB]Second-half: Stoke get us underway, kicking towards the Boothen End.[LNB]18.31: So what can we expect in the second half?[LNB]Stoke are surely going to throw an aerial bombardment, De Gea has looked unstoppable from shots but still looks a little vulnerable from crosses....call it Heurelho Gomes on form. [LNB]18.25: A typical United goal but not a typical performance.[LNB]For the majority they have kept Stoke at bay but De Gea has produced two world class saves to help keep it that way.[LNB] Hand-in-hand: Whelan (left) and Berbatov challenge for the ball[LNB]Half-time: Stoke 0-1 Manchester United[LNB]45+2min: The foul count tell it's own story of the half. The home side leading that score 9-1.[LNB]45+1min: Phil Jones, keen to bring back the sweeper role, changes the pace of the attack by bursting forward from the back. He wins a corner after his shot inside the box ix blocked.[LNB]45min: And there will be four minutes added on.[LNB]44min: Possession is nine tenths of the law and it's working in United's favour as they casually pass the ball about before the break.[LNB]41min: And the visitors win a corner after Shawcross blocks Owen's attempt on goal inside the box.[LNB]39min: Stoke have had the better chances in this game but on the ball United always look dangerous. An even contest in all.[LNB]36min: My word De Gea is on form. Jonathan Walters' shot goes through Patrice Evra's legs inside the box and is heading for the bottom corner until the Spaniard just pushes it behind.[LNB]34min: Wilkinson wins the commitment battle with Anderson - showing no fear by heading the ball into Delap's path. The midfielder then fires just wide from 25 yards out, good effort.[LNB]32min: Not so good from Nani. Ryan Shawcross's ball back to Begovic is a shocker but after the keeper has a poor first touch the Portuguese has the next. Albeit poorly by clipping the ball over the bar.[LNB]29min: And nearly an instant response! Andy Wilkinson beats Ashley Young to a loose ball outside the box before taking a touch and blasting a strike towards the top corner.[LNB]How De Gea reacts by tipping it on to the bar and out for a corner is astonishing. Reflex saves at their best.[LNB] Precise: United took the lead through Nani's strike[LNB]27min: GOAL! Stoke 0-1 MANCHESTER UNITED[LNB]Fantastic football. Nani plays a one-two with Darren Fletcher and after waltzing through the defence fires into the bottom corner. Great movement from Owen to allow the Portuguese winger space for a shot.[LNB]25min: Pedestrian stuff as Crouch is pulled up for another foul challenging for a header.[LNB]22min: Apologies folks. Jonny Evans pulled up in the warm up and did not start the game. Antonio Valencia filled in at right back instead with Federico Macheda added to the subs bench.[LNB]21min: It's a game of attrition it seems. Jermaine Pennant slips over under no pressure from anyone and he looks like he may have twisted his knee. A slight delay while he gets some treatment on the pitch.[LNB] In the spotlight: Owen was an early replacement for the injured Hernandez (below)[LNB] 19min: Other than that we haven't had much chances on goal. Stoke probably edging the game at the moment but the visitors are coping well enough.[LNB]18min: That's as close as United have come, Berbatov peeling off the back of former Tottenham team mate Woodgate at the back post to head wide Anderson's corner.[LNB]15min: Poor from Peter Crouch who in a mismatch of height is all over the back of Phil Jones for a header at the back post, giving away a free-kick.[LNB]Why he complains to Peter Walton I haven't got a clue.[LNB]13min: This game is brutal, no flow so far and it's partly due to the Stoke players having a devil may care attitude on the pitch.[LNB]11min: Here is the change then with Owen on for Hernandez. The stage is set Michael, don't let me down after all the hype I have gave you in recent weeks![LNB]8min: After Hernandez came back on, he has retreated to the sidelines again and this doesn't look good for the Mexican. Michael Owen is warming up.[LNB]Having seen another replay, Woodgate gets the slightest of touches on the ball from that challenge three minutes ago.[LNB]6min: They are not getting away with this though! Glenn Whelan goes right through Patrice Evra, picking up a booking. It wasn't a two footed lunge though so yellow is fair.[LNB] Taking a tumble: Hernandez (left) goes down following a collision with Begovic (centre)[LNB]4min: That has to be a penalty! Hernandez launched onto a superb ball from Phil Jones but before he can shoot he is tripped by Jonathan Woodgate.[LNB]To make it worse for the Mexican, he is clattered by Asmir Begovic as he goes down and is going to have some treatment. Stoke have got away with that.[LNB]3min: But a Rory Delap throw in follows which he punches wildly at. Not convincing but United clear their lines.[LNB]2min: Early chance for Stoke through a corner. Matthew Etherington takes it short before his second attempt at a cross is blocked by Antonio Valencia.[LNB]A wasted opportunity to test David De Gea early on.[LNB]Kick-off: Away we go.[LNB]17.28: Teams are out, time for some predictions:[LNB]Stoke 1-1 Manchester United[LNB]I'm staying on the fence.[LNB]17.25: It's an overcast day in Stoke but there isn't a spare seat to be had.[LNB]The Stoke fans can often be the 12th man - and they certainly are not going to be a quiet bunch this evening.[LNB]17.22: And of course the Britannia Stadium is the scene where Hernandez made his mark last season with a quite incredible backwards header. I hadn't seen anything like it before or since. Fantastic technique.[LNB] Headmaster: Hernandez scores against Stoke last season[LNB]17.19: While Rooney's absence is brilliant news for Stoke (considering the boy can't stop scoring), that is still a mighty impressive United attack.[LNB]Last year's Premier League top scorer and last year's revelation? They could just about walk into any other side in the Premier League.[LNB]17.16: Wayne Rooney is absent from Manchester United's matchday squad for the Barclays Premier League clash with Stoke at the Britannia Stadium.[LNB]Rooney - rumoured to have picked up a hamstring problem - is replaced by Dimitar Berbatov in the United attack, the Bulgarian paired up front with Javier Hernandez, who is fit to start having recovered from the shin injury he sustained in last weekend's 3-1 victory over Chelsea.[LNB]Rio Ferdinand returns to the defence after three games out with a calf complaint, while for the Potters, record signing Peter Crouch comes into the first XI for the injured Kenwyne Jones.[LNB]17.13: From the Britannia Stadium:[LNB]Stoke v Man UtdStoke: Begovic, Wilkinson, Shawcross, Woodgate, Wilson, Pennant, Delap, Whelan, Etherington, Walters, Crouch. Subs: Sorensen, Huth, Whitehead, Upson, Shotton, Jerome, Palacios.[LNB]Man Utd: De Gea, Jones, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Nani, Anderson, Fletcher, Young, Berbatov, Hernandez. Subs: Lindegaard, Owen, Giggs, Park, Welbeck, Fabio Da Silva, Valencia.[LNB]Referee: Peter Walton (Northamptonshire)[LNB]17.10: So can anyone stop Manchester United? A week ago I would have backed Stoke in this fixture to at least give United a run for their money, but a mauling at Sunderland then a struggle to overcome Tottenham Under 14s mid-week has left me with a few doubts.[LNB]Time to find out if they can prove me wrong I guess, team news on the way.[LNB] Rotation: Dimitar Berbatov (centre) starts for Manchester United but there is no place for Wayne Rooney (right)[LNB]  Leeds look to bolster squad by rescuing Pugh from his Stoke nightmareI'll be better than Messi and Ronaldo!
