29 At the other end Crouch lays the ball off for Tom Huddlestone. The midfielder takes a pop at goal but it is off target.
28 Rooney then has a half chance at the far post, but it comes to nought.
27 Berbatov comes close to giving the visitors the lead. Anderson sprays the ball to the striker on the edge of the area. He pulls the ball back and fires away his shot with his left-foot forcing Cudicini into another save.
26 So we're all square here but United are starting to look menacing as they go forward.
24 GOAL GIGGS!!! Both Giggs and Scholes hover over the ball at the free-kick. The Welshman eventually steps up and curls his effort over the wall and past Cudicini to level matters at the Lane.
23 Palacios is cautioned for a two-footed tackle on Berbatov and United have a free-kick around 20 yards from Cudicini's goal.
22 Palacios' give and go with Crouch allows the striker to overlap down the right. His cross cuts across the face of goal but spins just out of Defoe's reach. Replays show he was offside.
21 Evra's nifty chip frees space for Ryan Giggs. The veteran crosses and Fletcher just can't reach it at the far post.

15 Palacios fouls Berbatov around 35 metres from goal. The ensuing free-kick is flicked on by the Bulgarian striker and Cudicini saves the effort.
14 A fine touch from Crouch takes the ball past Scholes and Anderson and the striker shoots. Ben Foster gets his body behind the ball and saves comfortably though.
13 Defoe drifts into the wide right channel as Spurs look to exploit the space behind Evra but without any luck.

11 Patrice Evra makes a trademark run down the left. However, the French star has to go back as Spurs defenders surround him.
10 Crouch wins another aerial ball and Lennon attacks down the right. The England winger's cross is a good one but Rio Ferdinand hacks the ball to safety with Defoe lurking in the box.
9 Berbatov and Scholes play some neat triangles in the middle third but Palacios, who seems to be everywhere, intercepts and clears the danger.
8 Neither side has been able to control matters in midfield yet.
7 Wayne Rooney strays offside and once again Spurs bang the ball forward. The pass finds Crouch and he fires off a long-range shot that flies high and wide.
6 Aaron Lennon is forced back after some excellent pressing from the United midfield.

1 DEFOE!!! In the opening exchanges Spurs immediately go long for Peter Crouch and win a couple of throw-ins. The big man causes havoc in the area from a Wilson Palacios' cross. The ball drops to Jermain Defoe's and he scores with a sensational overhead kick!
1 Tottenham get the match underway at White Hart Lane. The home team have not beaten Sir Alex Ferguson's men in the league since 2001 - can they change that today?
Matt Egan from Norwich says: 'I am a Spurs fan and am a bit worried that it seems Harry has gone with a 4-3-3 formation with three strikers. I'm surprised not to see Kranjcar make his debut for the club to give us that attacking edge in midfield. Looking forward to the clash between Fletcher and Palacios in midfield. As far as scoreline goes, I think Bassong and King will have a solid game and Spurs will edge 2-1, Lennon and Crouch for Spurs, Rooney for Man U.
Ryan Chan from Singapore has jumped right in and forwarded his prediction: 'I'm a Barcelona fan. I think Man Utd are gonna take this 2-1, with Rooney and Berbatov, and Lennon on the score sheet.'

Pre-match: Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has been brought back to the starting XI to face his former club Tottenham in the Barclays Premier League clash at White Hart Lane. Berbatov's inclusion is one of four changes made to the team that beat Arsenal before the international break, with Rio Ferdinand returning from injury, while Paul Scholes and Anderson are also included. Michael Carrick and Nani are on the bench, along with Michael Owen. Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has Luka Modric out with a fractured fibula so Peter Crouch makes his first league start for the club and Robbie Keane has been moved out to the left flank.
