Spurs star Jenas faces ban after blast at ref Webb for Old Trafford blunder

Jermaine Jenas faces the threat of an FA charge for criticising referee Howard Webb's decision to give Manchester United a penalty at the weekend.[LNB]The Tottenham midfielder has been asked to explain the remarks made after his team's 5-2 defeat at Old Trafford on Saturday.[LNB]Jenas accused Webb of 'crumbling under pressure' when awarding a spot-kick for Heurelho Gomes's supposed trip on United midfielder Michael Carrick.[LNB] Helping hand: United are awarded a penalty despite Gomes getting fingers to the ball in this challenge with Michael Carrick[LNB] [LNB]Video replays showed that the keeper got a touch on the ball and, at the time, Spurs were 2-0 up and had the champions rattled.[LNB]An FA spokesman said: 'We have written to Jermaine Jenas to ask for an explanation for his remarks.'[LNB]The midfielder has seven days to respond after which FA disciplinary chiefs will decide whether he is to face a charge or not.[LNB]The remark the FA take issue with is when Jenas said after the game: 'One thing which struck me about it was that he (Webb) didn't even think.
