Southgate knows Boro are a scalp

Boss Gareth Southgate knows just how Sir Alex Ferguson feels after finding his Middlesbrough side firmly in the firing line. Southgate admits relegated Boro, Newcastle and West Brom represent big scalps for the rest of the Coca-Cola Championship, particularly after getting off to good starts in the wake of relegation. He said: "The fact we have come down from the Premier League, people will view us as teams they want to beat. "We have started well, as have Newcastle and West Brom, and that means you are going to have a game on your hands. But you have got to deal with that. "If you go up a division, that's what the top four or five teams in that league face every week and that's why it's more commendable that they keep achieving what they achieve. "The game for the opposition every week is their biggest of the season when Manchester United come to town. They cope with that and keep churning out win after win."
