The Dutch midfielder could have been a United player by now if he had played his cards right, but both parties missed out on a deal.
But lately he has been linked to United in the January transfer window as Fergie was supposedly willing to give him another chance to join.
It does seem though that he will remain in Italy.
He said: “If I must give a percentage for it, I think I am 90 per cent certain I will stay [until at least the summer]. I enjoy myself here at the moment and at this point I don’t have anything to choose from. I don’t say that I am 100% certain, because something unexpected can always happen.”
