Sir Alex Ferguson looking for Manchester United to finish with a flourish

Sir Alex Ferguson is looking for Manchester United to take maximum points from their seven remaining fixtures and land the Premier League title in style. The Red Devils suffered derby defeat to Manchester City last time out, but remain 12 points clear at the summit heading into Sunday's trip to Stoke City. United need just 10 points to get their hands on the top-flight crown, but Ferguson has called on his players to finish with a flourish and embark on a perfect run. He said: "We know what we have to do to win the league and we have got a group of players who can do that. "We can win our last seven games, there's no question about that. The great thing is that the consistency we have shown this season has been terrific. "That's a challenge we have now. The expectation here is to win every game. People putting bets on over the weekend see Manchester United as a banker. That's a fact of life. "It doesn't worry me. It's fine. We know what we have to do. "Losing to City makes the players aware they have to get their fingers out and make sure we don't lose any more games. "But it feels different from last season. We lost the league last season through carelessness. We were 4-2 up against Everton and drew. That was careless. If we had won that game, we would have won the league."
