The Professional Footballers Association say that Wayne Rooney is unlikely to have his two-match ban extended by lodging an appeal. The Manchester United forward was hit with the punishment by the Football Association following his four-letter outburst to a TV camera after scoring his hat-trick goal in the 4-2 win against West Ham on Saturday.PFA spokesperson John Bramhall is confident Rooney will not suffer any further penalty."If he is unsuccessful in his appeal the commission could look on the case as not being truly exceptional," said Bramhall."But from my experience, the circumstances surrounding his case are unprecedented and therefore you would say it was truly exceptional."
