Wayne Rooney has bemoaned Manchester United's seven Premier League losses as the key reason for their potential failure this season.[LNB] The Red Devils triumphed in the Carling Cup earlier this season but may not pick up another piece of silverware after slipping behind Chelsea in the title race.[LNB]As well as looking to beat Stoke on the final day of the season, they are relying on a favour from Wigan at Stamford Bridge.[LNB]Rooney puts United's position down to inconsistency and is disappointed to have lost such a high number of games.[LNB]Reflecting on the shock FA Cup exit at the hands of Leeds and defeat to Bayern Munich on away goals in the Champions League, Rooney concedes there have been too many regrets this season.[LNB]"If we could have stayed more consistent and not lost so many games we would have won the league but we've lost too many games," the striker said in The Sun.[LNB]"We shouldn't be losing seven games at this club."[LNB]Rooney added: "The FA Cup defeat to Leeds was not good enough. As for the Champions League, we were a bit unlucky considering the way we started against Bayern.[LNB]"I couldn't see us losing that tie. But we went out on away goals and it was hard to take."
