Wayne Rooney believes England are progressing under Fabio Capello following Saturday's 4-0 victory over Slovakia.[LNB] The Manchester United forward scored a double, while Emile Heskey and Frank Lampard also netted at Wembley.[LNB]Rooney's brace took his tally to seven in the last four international appearances, and he is revelling in his role for England.[LNB]"I am enjoying it," he said. "The team is progressing really well. Hopefully we can keep winning and I keep scoring.[LNB]"Steve [Gerrard] and me changed positions a lot and it seemed to work.[LNB]"I am getting on the ball and getting in space. We played quite well together.[LNB]Beckham praise"That is one thing the manager wanted from us, to put the work we have done in training and put it on the pitch. At times, I think we did that."[LNB]However, Rooney admits injuries to strikers Heskey, Peter Crouch and Carlton Cole took the gloss off the win ahead of Wednesday's World Cup qualifier with Ukraine.[LNB]"Overall, it was a good performance and a well-deserved win," he added. "It is a bit sad we got the injuries early on, but it was a good build-up for us."[LNB]And the 23-year-old also had praise for David Beckham after the midfielder made a second-half substitute appearance to break Bobby Moore's outfield record with a 109th England cap.[LNB]"David has set me up for a few goals, so I have to thank him for that," said Rooney.[LNB]"It is a great achievement. All of the players are really pleased for him. You could see how much he is loved by everybody, the players and the fans."[LNB]
