Rooney not alone on injured list
Michael Owen and Jonny Evans join Wayne Rooney on the sidelines for Manchester United's Champions League encounter with Bursaspor at Old Trafford.
At the end of Sir Alex Ferguson's dramatic statement on the player on Tuesday afternoon, it was revealed that Rooney had been stretchered out of training with an ankle injury.
In addition, Owen has a minor groin problem and will not be considered for another 10 days, while defender Evans has been ruled out with a hip injury.
