// A bit of a hack but it works// The article snippet is wrapped onto a second line, even when #article-sub is emptyif( $("div#article-sub").children().length == 0 ) {$("div#article-sub").remove();} Wayne Rooney admits he has his eyes firmly on becoming England's greatest ever goal-scorer.[LNB] The 23-year-old Manchester United striker already has 25 goals to his name from 55 England appearances.[LNB]The current record stands at 49 and belongs to Sir Bobby Charlton and Rooney admits the mark is already in his sights.[LNB]"I spoke to Sir Bobby last week about it and we discussed playing and scoring for England," he told the Daily Star.[LNB]"It would be a dream come true to do it and mean so much to me. [LNB]"It would also be fantastic if two Manchester United players were to be one and two in the list.[LNB]"But don't rule out Michael (Owen) and he still has a chance of the record."[LNB]Rooney admitted that his real desire now in his career was to win more medals for club and country.[LNB]"I do sometimes think about how far I can go in my career and what I can win," he continued. [LNB]"It is about trophies, isn't it? For Manchester United and England. That is what I play for. And I do want to get better and better."[LNB]FrustrationDespite his tender years, Rooney has already been to two major finals with England - Euro 2004 and the 2006 World Cup.[LNB]But he admits that he has only tasted frustration so far for England and wants to make sure that does not happen again next summer. [LNB]"The last two tournaments, in 2004 and 2006, were frustrating for me and the team and there is now a feel-good factor under Fabio Capello," he said.[LNB]"We are playing as well as at any time since I came into the squad and the one thing you know with Mr Capello is that if you are not playing well you will not be in the team. That keeps us all on our toes and wanting to perform."[LNB]Many feel that Rooney is currently playing the best football of his career - but he feels there is still a lot more to come.[LNB]"I have played better," he said. "I think it's because I am scoring more goals, and forwards are always judged on goals, that people are saying I'm in my best form."[LNB]"I honestly believe I can get a lot better. I know I can.[LNB]"I would certainly like to score more goals."[LNB]
