Ronaldo void paralysed Valencia but United winger is coming good, says Vidic

Nemanja Vidic says Antonio Valencia was 'paralysed' by the pressure of trying to fill the hole left by Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United. But the Serbia defender believes Valencia is now showing his true worth after hitting two goals in two games for the Barclays Premier League champions. The £16million summer signing from Wigan Athletic scored in the 2-1 defeat of Bolton Wanderers on Saturday before slotting home the only goal during United's victory at CSKA Moscow on Wednesday night. And Vidic said: 'At the beginning of the season, Antonio had some difficulties because he was bought to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.  'The media paid special attention and were watching his every move, and the pressure paralysed him a little. 'He is a real artist, gradually gaining confidence and playing better and better with each match. Scoring will help him even more.'
