Robins wants players to learn from defeat

Manchester United gave Barnsley a footballing lesson at times during their 2-0 Carling Cup win, according to Tykes manager Mark Robins.[LNB]Barnsley grew in confidence after an early setback when conceding Danny Welbeck's fifth-minute goal and created several chances before and after Michael Owen had added a second just before the hour mark.[LNB]Even after United had been reduced to 10 men following Gary Neville's straight red card for a high tackle on Adam Hammill, they still carved out chances on the counter-attack.[LNB]Robins said: "What we've got to learn and take from that game is the fact United move the ball quickly, we took maybe a touch too many.[LNB]"If we can move the ball we'll create more chances and we're capable of doing that but the main point is how hard Manchester United work when they haven't got possession.[LNB]"They work their socks off to get the ball back quickly and that's a big feature of their play and something we should take note of and try and emulate."
