[LNB]And the former England captain has given the clearest indication yet that he could move to Paris Saint-Germain when the winter transfer window opens. [LNB]Beckham was speaking after captainingLA Galaxy to a 2-0 defeat at Thierry Henry's New York Red Bulls, a result which gave the Frenchman's side a shot at the playoffs. [LNB]Asked about Sportsmail'sexclusive on Chicago Fire's interest in Ferdinand and whether he would recommend MLS to his former teammate, the 36-year-old ex-United star said: 'It's unfair for me to even comment on a player that's under contract at Manchester United, loved by the fans. He's a very good player.[LNB] 'That's the first time I've heard those rumours but I'm not even going to comment because he's a Manchester United player and as a [former] Manchester United player I want him to stay there.' [LNB]On his own transfer situation Beckham was more expansive.[LNB] Fergie's the best: Beckham has the greatest respect for Sir Alex Ferguson (right)[LNB]He said he was 'flattered' by the interest in him from Leonardo, who worked with Beckham at AC Milan and is now PSG's sporting director.[LNB] Last month the Brazilian said the 'door is open' at the Parc des Princes to 'someone that I really appreciate and admire so much'. [LNB]On Tuesday night in New York, Beckham said: 'I love Leonardo. I had a good relationship when I was at Milan the first time and then obviously when he was manager the second time. [LNB]'He's a great manager, a great person. I'm flattered that he wants me to go and join the team in Paris. [LNB]'I think there are big things happening in France at a number of clubs. It's an exciting time. Leonardo going there [to PSG] and the money that's at the club. It's an interesting club. [LNB] Bend it like...: Beckham curls the ball round the New York Red Bulls' wall[LNB]'We'll see. I've always said I'll wait till the end of the season and see how I feel physically and then decide. There's no rush for myself.[LNB] 'Obviously it's important that I concentrate on the rest of the season. We're in the playoffs and we've got two games left. I'll concentrate on the season and then worry about that after.' [LNB]Beckham also had high praise for his old manager at Old Trafford and the way he has managed to blood a new crop of youngsters, in a similar vein to when he and the 'Fledglings' broke into the side in 1995.[LNB] 'Sir Alex Ferguson always does it,' he said.[LNB] 'As soon as you think that the team are getting a little bit older, he changes it and he brings a whole new team through.[LNB] Praise: Beckham is a big fan of Danny Welbeck [LNB] 'As a Manchester United fan it's exciting to see; the young players that are coming through, the players that have been there for a few years. It's great.' [LNB]Asked who had impressed him, he said: 'There's many players; Welbeck is scoring goals, Chicharito, is so sharp. It's exciting to watch players like that. I hope they go and win it all.'[LNB] Henry scored the second of the Red Bulls' goals in the match, a classic first-time chip over the keeper after being sent through by his former Barcelona teammate Rafael Marquez, and afterwards he encouraged more Premier League players to join him Stateside.[LNB] 'Oh yes, it can be good for the league and good for them,' the 34-year-old said.
